I am Zhavanya Leigh Leib, Licensed Massage Therapist and Shamanic practitioner. It is my divine calling to weave sacred sounds and amplify the vibrational healing on this planet, wherever and whenever Spirit moves me. In my bodywork I love to integrate Neuromuscular therapy, Craniosacral therapy, Energywork, and tuning forks to help my clients release traumas, ease pain patterns, and deepen into relaxation.
I am a dedicated mama to my three Z kids and partner to my husband of over 11 years. We know that inspiring each other to be who we are, shine bright, and believe that we all have what it takes to climb any mountain has allowed us to be a loving and strong family unit.
I am a skilled multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter emphasizing on the upright Bass, Native Flute, Drums, sax, and piano. I grew up in the church in South Dakota singing Gospels and learning the ways of God. However, at a young age, I knew that there was not just one pathway to know the Divine and sought Native ways of prayer and healing, living so close to the Black Hills and having parents that taught on the Lakota Reservation, it inspired and called me to learn the ways of the people of that land.
In 2004 I developed Alopecia Areata, at the age of 19 and it felt like the world fell out from under my feet. In retrospect, I would say I was sent on a mission to love myself, ALL of myself, and to learn the healing modalities that were inside of me and ignite love through music.
I developed a kinship with an initiated Shaman and decided to dive deeper into South American Shamanism of the Q’uero people by attending a 2 year medicine wheel program through Rising Fire, a Shamanic training program in Portland, Oregon. After completing and integrating these practices into my life and my inner work, that’s when the magic in music really began to bloom! I decided I wanted to craft my own medicine drum in 2013 so I worked with a local Elder in southern Oregon and all the prayers that were woven into it to initiate the drum I can still see them being answered today! With more and more dream visions and songs coming through when I played, it was clear that Spirit was speaking through me when I played.
It was then that I was visited by an ancestor in my sleep who showed me that I could play the Upright bass. I was intrigued by this dream vision and soon after I met Rosaleigh, my beautiful bass, and the beats and the bowing keep flowing! I have never imagined, nor had I tried this instrument before, but Spirit keeps showing up in miraculous ways the more I give myself into Divine flow. Life truly is a living prayer!
